I think he got off very lightly there :(
will he see the light of day again ?
-------------------
Possibly. He may get released early if he develops 'health problems'.
Less than I thought.
This is the sentence for a 1970s court (the sentence today would be longer)
Less that I thought too, especially as he was downloading porn on his PC as recently as 2012.
thought it would have been more ?

I thought he was 'only' convicted of assault. And technically downloading porn as you put it is not illegal, perhaps you should have qualified the type of porn.

Seem light to me too, so he may see his days in freedom.

I willl be interested to see other accusers coming out the woodwork now after compo.
They dismissed the porn charges.
Well he'll certainly be out in 28 months- plenty of people live to be 100 and he doesn't look that ailing for a man of his age plus I imagine he'll be considered cat c or cat D so either an open prison or a cat c closed prison. I think I'd be pretty upset if I was one of his victims :(
Considering his victims have endured for do long and no will continue to do so he has got of very lightly.
Ahhh!!! 'so long'
-- answer removed --
Ahh!!! again 'no doubt' ......... bad typing day
i don't really care how long he serves, as long as he has lost his reputation. and shown to be a liar and a sex offender.
The following is what his daughter's friend is reported as saying, what I cannot understand is why this poor woman endured all this for 16 years, why didn't she just keep away from him?

/// Bindi’s friend said she remained traumatised by his abuse which started at the age of 13 and was to last 16 years. ///

/// She said: ‘The attacks that happened have made me feel dirty, grubby and disgusting. ///

/// ‘The whole sordid saga has traumatised me.’ ///

/// Now 49, the victim said she became an alcoholic as a teenager and the abuse robbed her of her dreams of a career and a family. ///

/// ‘As a young girl I had aspirations to have a career, settle down and have a family,’ she said. ///

/// ‘However, as a direct result of his actions, this has never materialised. ///

and your point.......AOG ?
With remission and the prospect of being 'tagged' how soon could he be released? Is two years likely?
It's outrageous, I hope there is an appeal.
I imagine there will be other charges yet to be prosecuted. Consequently, it is quite likely he will die in jail.

He will also be on a nonce's wing (not on communal exercise) and in the unlikely thing that he comes across other prisoners, is most likely to be horribly treated. Oh dear.......
khandro..............do you believe RH to be totally innocent ?
