No, he does not hold a UK passport.

However most of the illegals arriving in the UK hold no passport at all (having flushed them down the bog of the aircraft or otherwise disposed of them). Having no UK passport is no bar to being allowed to remain in the UK should you happen to arrive here by one means or another.

The danger is that he still has a large number of family members here (maintained at taxpayers' expense, natch) and should he happen to surreptitiously gain a foothold, Article 8 will rear its ugly head again, despite what any politicians assure.

Having said that, he still has one charge outstanding.

we can deprive him of Br Nationality on good grounds so long as he has another nationality. But we cant if it makes him stateless.

I was also told that if he DOES come back, some of his own lot will be after him. Really I said, as I ran to the door - I thought he was universally loved by Asians, and didnt wait for the expected hail of abuse....

Calm down zacs ! I don't want him back here anymore that any body else does, and I am on record as saying that I was glad when he was eventually stuffed aboard that flight, kicking and screaming to Jordan. He is a nasty, dangerous rabble rouser and deserves to be sent to Saudi Arabia, where his behaviour will be less well tolerated than here.

But both he and Brooks have been subject to the same legal process, albeit in different countries and under different rules. Everybody wanted him to stand trial in Jordan and now he has done just that. Respect for the law is called for surely ?
