Up to 50,000 people marched in peaceful protest at the coalitions austerity measures today. Strange the BBC have not covered such a newsworthy story.
Time to stop paying the licence fee, the BBC are a bunch of biased muppets.

Not biased, just a harsh fact that protests like this, no matter who is behind them don't really float the boat of TV News media. Maybe we are just blasé about people protesting.
Couldn't see much about it on Sky either
why is that bias? Maybe they don't think it's as newsworthy as you do. They have limited resources (they are undergoing drastic cuts to news reporting staffing) and have to prioritise things, as other media also do.

ITV almost covered it:"HUNDREDS JOIN ANTI-AUSTERITY MARCH IN CENTRAL LONDON"
iggle piggle is singlehandedly making sure this website won't ignore the story. Third? posting.
What Austerity measures? Cameron ,and Osborne keep telling us we are on the road to recovery , is someone telling pre election lies???

Thanks for keeping it going, svejk. Actually two posts and two answers. And am I wrong to point this out to the people when the Nations news service ignores it? WE pay for the BBC (well at least a lot of mugs pay them, I don't) so we deserve to hear about things going on on this scale.
I am a great advocate of the BBC, as I have made clear on many past occasions. I am sure that the local BBC TV and radio news covered this although I can't be sure living so far away. But I suppose they can't put everything on their website.
Millionaire Russell Brand and austerity are strange bedfellows!
I do wish people would make their minds up. The BBC seems to be accused of left wing bias one week and right wing the next. Also if you don't pay for it (unlike the rest of us mugs) you can't really complain if its output doesn't meet your expectations.
The BBC "did cover it" as I saw it on BBC News as I had friends there and I was looking for them.
this seems to have been on the BBC site since yesterday; does it answer your question?

may i just point out that it is estimated that every taxpayer in this country pays £20 a year to the bbc
ps forgot to say so even if you don't watch tv and pay for a licence you still pay money to the bbc
