A greater number of liberal 'chatterati'

A recognition that UKIP don't represent the voice of London?

Fear that some of us will lose our EU home help?

Or a conspiracy amongst the Guardianistas?

Or a disgusting streak of common sense?

No naomi...I think we have established that it may be you spinning this morning....... Labour won and the Tories lost...you will just have to get used to it !
Corby...interesting post ! I think you may be right. Anyway, the people have spoken and their voice has been heard. That is why we hold elections. If people can't be bothered to get off their bums and votes, so be it. Just don't let any of them moan about anything in the future, at least not within ear-shot of me.
Mikey, don't jump on Gromit's bandwagon. It's been established that his mouth has outrun his brain on this one. I repeat I haven't argued the result.
naomi...that was an uncalled-for personal attack on gromit, although I think he is perfectly able to defend himself. I think you owe him an apology.

I invite you to defend the Tories dreadful performance on Thursday.
Mikey, stop being so silly.
I have just read this thread from start to finish, where has naomi personally attacked Gromit? (Did I nod off somewhere in the middle and miss it?)
Happy to oblige Roy...It's been established that his mouth has outrun his brain on this one.
Well he has accused naomi of spinning... show where she has been doing that on this thread. If you can't, then his mouth has outrun his brain on this one.
I do not believe UKiP did badly in London because the capital is more ethnically diverse. It did badly because London has a high number of Labour seats. Looking at the other cities in the UK and especially in the North, which are Labour controlled, UKiP also did badly.

It is clear, the perfect constituency for UKiP to cause political disruption is one full of disaffected Conservative voters with an incumbant Consetvative administration (or MEP/MP).
Roy...Labour won and the Tories lost. Its the inability of the right-wingers on here to fully acknowledge that fact that is the problem. They would rather moan on and on about Labour not doing better, than admit that Thursday was a disaster for dave.
Mikey, I haven't moaned on about Labour and again I repeat I haven't argued the result. Just stop. You're making yourself look silly.
// Birmingham's white population is only 56% of the total populous. Therefore, why didn't UKIP fair badly there too? //

UKiP failed to win a single seat on Birmingham City Council.
Wolverhampton. No UKiP gains. They retained their 1 Councillor.

Thanks Gromit.

Not questioning you - but do you have a link to the results. I mean - did UKIP actually field candidates in the Birmingham boroughs?
another totally erroneous 'fact' spouted by a leftie then gromit?
glad you're keeping an eye on them.
"Britain must control its borders"

Do you agree with the above statement, mikey?
Here is the link Sp.

In Dudley UKiP won 3 Council seats. Fron the Conservatives and LibDems.
SP...I have just found this on the BBC News website, with an answer to your question, straight from the horses mouth, although the senior UKIP figure is not identified ::

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27552251

Apparently, according to this mystery figure, UKIP did badly because London is a " cultured, educated and young place" So, I suppose we can infer from that statement, that the opposite may be true in places where UKIP did well
...Uncultured, uneducated and old.

Says it all really !

Yes, I saw that earlier. Rather patronising to UKIP supporters, because the subtext is, "If you're old, thick and think that culture is something to do with yoghurt - we're the party for you!"
