when I heard that the sentences were to run concurrently, I was hoping for at least 5 years on each count.

Seems a shame that the sentencing of crimes committed in the past, have to have a matching sentence from the same time.

One never had the sense that Clifford had signed any confidentiality agreement with the stars to whom he provided his news-burial services – indeed, he was always at the greatest of pains to declare that his relationship with clients was "based on trust, on a handshake". With those who have shaken that hand now very publicly reaching for the Swarfega, it could now be a time of a Thousand Cold Sweats. For all his fall from grace, few could fail to wonder about the next step of the criminal narcissist who once assured them: "The more I know, the more I can protect you."

Just come in and seen the news. I didn't expect as much as 8 years...not that I am inferring that he doesn't deserve it. Must be an even bigger shock to him. Spin your way out of that Max !

Roy...I know for a fact that people don't complain at the time. Historic crimes should be investigated.

i'm thick when it comes to the law,so he was given 8 years and he must serve 4 years why not all the 8 years then?

They've just shown the clip on Sky where he made a right t*t of himself mimicking the TV presenter talking abut his case. The Judge apparently mentioned that.

I liked China Doll's comment a few days ago after Max was found guilty, when someone asked if we would be writing a book about his time in jail, she replied along the lines of he'll need a good publicist like, err, well....
