youngmafbog - in a number of Asian cultures, homosexuality can lead to being ostrracised from family and from society as a whole.

Such is the ingrained hatred of homosexuality, that this man probably thought that murder was an easier option that admiting his orientation - a sad inditement on the culture in which he was raised.
because some societies can't handle it, some religions ignore it, or hate it, and openly condemn gays, its mad, but its a mad world, another life lost.

botox to family honour, he should never have got married.
Pressure to get married can be VERY strong

We may be an 'elightened' society but the society he was part of does not share our enlightenment.
He may have been pressurised into getting married, but why didn't he later just separate from his wife, there was no need for him to murder her, least of all try and depose of her body by burning, didn't he think that people would want to know where she was?
