doubt very much that would happen,
There might be a risk of aggression between the groups of migrants. That could be awkward for the indigenous population.
The Romanians won't be looking for jobs - 'cos pickpocketing is much more lucrative.
i am sure that is not exactly true, The Romanians shouldn't be confused, or so they say with the Roma, who have a bad reputation in Romania.
They are poor, ill educated, and will come whether we like it or not. Maybe some will find work, those who have been squatting in Hyde Park should get their skates on if so

Bit of a sweeping statement, Sirp...

All the Romanians I know have a job.
wonder how many British, those lazy ones we keep on hearing about could have done those jobs... that's the problem isn't it, keep on importing more people, who need all the services that Britain provides, can't say the same if we went to live in Bulgaria, Romania. money you could earn, hardly a fair trade.
I know a few Romanians, lovely people and really hard workers.
a few, that's it, how many here though, and once out of a job, picking lettuces, what do they do then
as i said above, Romanians are being confused with the Roma, who do indeed have a bad reputation in and out of Romania.
Spain has the largest population of Romanians in Europe i think it goes on to say, however when work dries up what then, and it is one of the poorest countries in Europe so wages are not high, so they move, then move again

The Romanians I know are employed as carers, they were brought over here to fill vacancies that the English didnt want. They are also far more reliable and harder working than most of the English staff and it pains me to say that but it is true.
perhaps you are right, but as you have said going on a few, and can you say British, as i find it difficult to take in that the English are singled out..

Have you become Racist (English) since moving to Wales Ratter?
That there's a worry that one lot of foreigners, who came here to do jobs which the Britons refused to do, will be displaced by another lot of foreigners, says a lot, doesn't it !
Baldric, No I'm not racist, I said exactly the same on here whilst still living in England, the truth is the truth, no matter where I live.
so aren't the Welsh, Irish, Scottish not in the frame, just English, curious.
Many of the Romanians and Polish I know were taken on by the Irish employers. Ironic eh?
