considering it wouldn't have been going that fast, the damage is extensive.
quite a solid-looking tree; I suppose passengers who were standing or coming downstairs would have been thrown about a bit, even if it was only 20mph or so.
Question Author
lots injured, a couple seriously, the report says that it swerved to avoid a vehicle, and smashed into the tree. Its the top of the bus that always seem more vulnerable...
According to the eyewitness- the tree crashed into the bus. I hope they don't have him in Court.
Sorry to read about this hope people are not too badly hurt. Just a thought would passengers on buses be safer wearing seat belts ? After all passengers on coaches have to wear them by law.

WR.
difficult for standing passengers, WR, unless of course the belt wasn't attached to anything. Doing away with standing would drastically rearrange the economics of public transport.

our buses are often crammed to bursting, many a time i have had to stand all the way home, not good for me at all. The tree better have a good lawyer if so pixie, a tree sawyer perhaps
