My problem with SkyNews is that in my head I always expect it to prioritise US news, even though I know perfectly well that there's a UK based version.

Never looked at it.  Do you mean the website, or the channel.  In case I hadn't already mention 10,000 times, I don't have a TV, let alone cable/sky.  I take it you think it's pants George!
