This type of crime is on the increase and it is mostly committed by those who are not from these shores, will we see this type of crime increase even more in the new year?

Have we not enough of our own criminals without importing even more?

Yes but look at all the money they are bringing in - according to the left !
/will we see this type of crime increase even more in the new year?/

AOG Why would we?

why would you imagine that east european criminals would delay coming here until they can work legally in the UK?

Obviously they have been here for some time already

You're not thinking of applying for a job in Police Intelligence i hope
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Says who?
Well me obviously for one.

Sorry, I forgot that as a person who does not agree with you I am not entitled to an opinion, I must do as you say not as you do.

The Met's Operation Sterling deals with this !
BTW ymb

it seems you don't really understand what sarcasm is

because on reflection, I can't find any in my post
/The Met's Operation Sterling deals with this ! /

Really?

Operation Sterling is anti-fraud in general - not specifically targeted at east europeans /in the new year/
I'm sure we have our own home-grown criminals to put up with, but this type of crime seems to be more prevalent since the Asians and now the Eastern Europeans have got themselves established in underworld. Dispicable people, I hope they have been stopped and deported.
Yes really zeuhl, but no of course Op Sterling isn't specifically focused on east europeans in the new year
/I must do as you say not as you do./

ymb

I have no idea what that means. Do you?

/Sorry, I forgot that as a person who does not agree with you I am not entitled to an opinion/

of course you are

Just as i am entitled to challenge it and expose shortcomings in your thinking, knowledge and assumptions

so if you don't have an intelligent riposte please don't resort to whingeing - it's pathetic
vile crimes but not new to these shores, we have had child prostitution for centuries, people sold their children into it, because they either couldn't care less, or couldn't, wouldn't care for them. Victorian times was the worse if you look into it, the oh so prim and proper Victorians were not averse to drug use and child prostitution, not to forget the women who were on the streets selling their dubious wares, often to feed their habits, or their children, of which many went on to the same lifestyle, or a life of servitude in a grand house, or a grim factory. No one just brings these sorts of crimes to our doors, they just add to it, these are the sorts of low lifes i would like to jail for life, no parole
// will we see this type of crime increase even more in the new year? //

These criminals were Czechs and Slovacs and were legally here. The Bulgarians and Romanians can legally work here next year. But how are they connected? They are not. And there is no probability they will engage in this type of crime. Unless you believe all foreigners are the same, which they aren't.
we already know some of the Romanians living in the capital are on the thieve, they make their living by doing so, will they become model citizens here once they know they can work legally, or will they prefer to pickpockets for their livelihoods, answers on a postcard,

nope, don't give to them, it's a bore by and large, and can't abide Wogan, i give to charities like RNIB, Royal British Legion, and the RNLI, and MacMillan cancer care.

Oh surely it's not bad in the capital is it em?
Ah, AOG, but some of the victims were damn foreigners too! That must be mitigation, even all right, because they are preying on their own kind.

Oh dear, there will be a percentage of criminals in any foreign community. And if we are talking of international matters, it's a fair bet that they US wishes it hadn't paid out to Sicilian widows; that was the seed capital for the Mafia there. And some internationals specialise. The Colombians have been the organised pickpockets in London for decades, the Nigerians did the big cross-fire cheque frauds and misuse of credit cards, the Maltese were big in vice in London in the 1950s. Now, we get Romanians running the begging professionally, East European pimps and others. It is globalisation on an unpleasant scale, but inevitable, as all globalisation is.
