You beat me to it,ymb.
What are you proposing should have been done in this case? Prosecution for murder? Life imprisonment? Keeping her locked up for a further twelve months?
Apparently she's ballooned to over 20st, so ugly AND fat now !! Vile woman.
Question Author
Fred, throw away the key, clear enough??
she's served her sentence is probably why.

/What Is The World Comming To?/

What? You mean the rule of law?

the answer is explained in your link:

/Tracey Connelly was jailed for a minimum of five years in 2009/

/Tracey Connelly served more than five years in jail, including time on
remand/

All seems straight forward - the Court's sentence has been served

and she is not considered a danger to anyone bearing in mind that Social Services are unlikely to leave any future babies in her care
the dopey tart should only be released on condition she has a tattoo on her forhead as a warning to other people not to let their children anywhere near her. As to giving her a new identity, well words fail me, what bunch of idiots came up with that one? ( steps down from soapbox)
Zeuhl, would this be the same social services that just paid out a fortune to that Shoestring woman.?
/As to giving her a new identity, well words fail me, what bunch of idiots came up with that one?/

Would you prefer the Police and social services had to continually deal with assaults, anti social behaviour and harassment perpetrated against her by other 'idiots'?
/Zeuhl, would this be the same social services that just paid out a fortune to that Shoestring woman.? /

That depends on which area she settles in

Newborn babies are regularly removed from parents deemed 'unfit' by the Courts
It was on TV today that she wasn't getting a new identity.
If she got pregnant again they would be waiting in the delivery suite to take the baby.
baza - "As to giving her a new identity, well words fail me, what bunch of idiots came up with that one?"

That would be the legal practitioners who have to practice law dispassionately and without recourse to rage and emotion.

That is the only way the law can work properly.

We do not lock people up past the time their sentence is served, and the sentence decreed by law has been served.

There are many individuals culpable for the tragic death of this child - his mother is only one.

She is not a savage, she is an inadequate individual with possible psycopathic tendencies, as are her boyfriend and his brother.

This sounds like i don't care, I do, i have grandsons that age, but outrage and revenge do not serve justice, and that is what must prevail.
If she was not given a new identity then other 'savages' would come along and decide to take the law into their own hands!
After the gentleman who was wrongly accused of being a paedophile was beaten and burnt alive....lets hope there isn't anyone that looks similar to Tracey Connelly.

Same with that poor woman that was hounded out of home because people thought she was Maxine Carr...
The Law and Psychiatry apart, I feel that common sense suggests that her sentence has been too lenient. What do i consider a reasonable sentence, a maximum of 10 years.

\\\\\\She is not a savage, she is an inadequate individual with possible psycopathic tendencies, as are her boyfriend and his brother. \\\\\

That is the bit that worries me.......Psychopaths are never cured, they are evil and devious.

Sqad - the notion that this woman is a psychopath is my thought only.

There will have been extensive examinations by qualified psychiatrists and she has not been deemed such in the medical sense, otherwise she would be languishing in Broadmore, rather than released back into society.
andy.....but i like your diagnosis......and yes, she will have been interviewed by Psychologists,Psychiatrists and Social workers and i do not envy their task.

However my post above remains unammended.
