We along with others spend an enormous amount of money on foreign aid, shall we now spend some of this budget helping to pay the $1billon cost to get rid of Syria's chemical weapons?

Now there's a surprised answer from you.

Ok to provide food aid, so as to prevent children from starving, but not ok to use some of this money to prevent them from being killed by chemical weapons?

Now there's a surprised answer from you AOG.

You would gladly hand over $1billion to a tyrant? Why not bung the Iranians a couple of billion to stop them making Nuclear weapons while you are at it?

Not paying the Syrian regime to dispose of their chemical weapons does not kill any children

Only them using them does that

Don't we hand over money to Pakistan and India, both who operate nuclear programmes, and I can't see them giving theirs up?

If it takes just money to rid the world of all such weapons, it gets my vote.
/If it takes just money to rid the world of all such weapons/

Perhaps it should start there?
