If people join a public forum they should NOT be expected to be treated differently because of age or gender. It seems to me Sharingan is quite comfortable with jibing and can stand up for herself and all this nannying is slightly embarrassing. I would get quite annoyed myself if every time someone criticised me a third party jumped in saying 'oh she's only a...

I must say, AOG, you have very catholic tastes in reading material. I'd never have put you down as a reader of 'Sikh24.com'.
It is reported you just linked to it. It's dated yesterday.
I love you Sandy ;-)
Why do you think?

Can't risk offending a minority can we.
AOG said 'little' reported - not unreported.

I've just Googled; 'Leicester, Sikh, girls, grooming'
There seem to be an awful lot of reports going back to the start of this year!
What a daft answer, youngmafbog!

Could it be that only one girl was involved and she was above the age of consent? That she lived with her parents and wasn't groomed from the streets? That she was paid money?

None of the above makes it right but it's different from the other grooming cases.
Is the phrase, 'took a blind eye to', in common usage? I've heard of, 'turned a blind eye'.
There are thousands of newsworthy events which go unreported - it's all down to the choices/policies of the Media Barons.

Surely you realise this at your age.

What kind of coverage do you think the case warranted, AoG?

I certainly would not have known anything about it unless it was reported nationally since I do not live in the vicinity of Leicester - and the same can be said for 100s, maybe 1000s of news stories around the country.

Everyone...stop berating AOG for his perfectly valid question.

AOG...the answer is that the media, which is overrun by left wing PC liberals, hides these stories so that good people such as yourself, can have the fun of playing, 'Hunt the Muslim story'.

If this story was splashed all over the place, you wouldn't have the delightfully repetitive excuse of posting a 'why has little been reported about this...' thread.

The secret is in the words "Why Has Little Been Reported" not "nothing has been reported".

Please try and keep up, before trying to be clever.
anotheoldgit - why not try not to be rude to people who take the trouble to post on your threads.

Try to be nice.
He can be as rude as he wants. She's only 15 and doesn't deserve any respect!!! Only old people should be respected.

I would say quite a lot taking into consideration the numerous and widely reported cases of Muslim men grooming white girls, are such acts against Sikh girls any less worthy of being reported?
They were arrested on 19th January 2013. As soon as they were charged then reporting restrictions are imposed until the trial, which is now. Restrictions are imposed because in Britain, you are innocent until a jury has passed its verdict.

Hope this answers you question.

She only bothered to post a totally incorrect post, simply to to have a cheap dig at me.

15 or not she should not expect any different treatment to others who have a dig.

Has you once pointed out to me, "If she can't stand the heat she should remove herself from the kitchen".

Fair comment Gromit, but why is it that the national press hasn't yet reported on the trial?
