If people join a public forum they should NOT be expected to be treated differently because of age or gender. It seems to me Sharingan is quite comfortable with jibing and can stand up for herself and all this nannying is slightly embarrassing

There are thousands of stories that news editors have to sift through in order to create online and offline content.
I don't think that there's any reason for this story not gaining traction on the opening day of the trail...perhaps it will when the verdict is given.
In fact, doesn't that make more sense?
The media would have far more to report after certain restrictions were lifted...they could interview the alleged victim etc.
As we have seen in previous trails, the media doesn't shy away from these stories when verdicts have been given.

They have not been charge with grooming a child, they have been charged with paying her for sex. That happens all the time all over the country. I assume their defence will be that they though she was older. The story is not that remarkable which is why it hasn't been report in national newspapers but only locally in the Leicestershire area.

AOG I am 88 years old, not a 15 years old schoolgirl & therefore I can speak to you at your own level & I say to you STOP picking on this young lady of whom I have great respect. She may very well be only 15 years of age but I know she has much knowledge & can certainly give a very good argument in a lot of subjects so for goodness sake be a little more tolerant.

The point is AOG, that it HAS been reported on, quite extensively since it began, by the BBC amongst others, is that not sensational enough for you? This girl, whilst her situation is tragic, is 16, alive and well now by account, and is not an enormous news story. There are other more pressing matters in the world and your assumption that any crime committed by people who are not white should stand at the fore of everything is frankly riseable.

How totally nit-picking of you, how many others do not bother to use a poster's name? If they know they are male they will use the term 'HE' and if they happen to be female they will use the term 'SHE', have you ever corrected others for being so rude? No of course you haven't.
My name on the other hand has been corrupted in many ways, so much so that I requested a name change, but as others were allowed to change names, guess what? for some strange reason my request was ignored.
Incidentally you might ask Sharingan how in the future she might care to be addressed, just as Sharingan, young Sharingan, or Miss Sharingan, wouldn't wish to appear too familiar or offend any further?
