/// However joyful the news, it means another future king will join his father William and grandfather Charles in the most exclusive boys’ club in the
world. ///

/// We now have three males circling the throne, like planes in a holding pattern over Heathrow. We won’t just have to adjust to our first king after more than half-a-century of being led by our beloved Queen, we’ll have to accept three in a row. We face the prospect of three ageing men becoming our head of state, one after another. ///

/// We shouldn’t underestimate what a huge change this will be for the nation. ///

/// But it will also stem from the realisation that some of our greatest monarchs have been women — from Elizabeth I and Victoria to Elizabeth II today. ///

But please read on chaps and read the whole article it gets even more anti men.

She and her ilk are just angry that the Bovine Guano sucession law change won't have any effect for about 75 years at least and if baby Cambridge also has a son then these wimmin will no doubt jump off the shard. However there are no guarentees with longevity and then there is the anti British British that will no doubt turn us into a Liberal Republic governed from a Belgian kasi long before then anyway. Delighted I'm to old to see it. I feel so sad for Baby C.

I feel you're the sensitive one aog, you always appear to be unsettled by positive women.
AOG, I'm not attempting to put an end to a debate. I think the woman is spouting rubbish - and my answer implied that. As a matter of fact I do agree with you. I think the head of feminism can be extremely ugly at times.
The Kazi of Brussels will doubtless be as thrilled to be ruling you TTT as you will be to be his loyal subject ... ...
it makes perfect sense aog ... as you clearly understood it

you used the word ugly, not me, that would imply you have some issue with feminism

it would appear you have a warped view of what feminism is - perhaps you think its all about ugly, short haired, aggressive men-hating women dressed in bomber jackets and dm boots, screaming abuse at demos...?
If a woman had posted that heading about men 'Is This Just Chauvenism Rearing It's Ugly Head?, you would have been jumping up and down screaming for your dummy!!
had you said 'the ugly side of feminism' - i would have agreed with you...it does indeed have an ugly side.

but you said feminism itself was ugly

If you or friend Jack would care to point out the said post I might, (only might) reply.

You know I don't like demands putting on me.

Incidentally, I don't know if you ever delve into the Technology section, but I have posted numerous answers to other posters problems, but some have not had the common decency to reply, and I would think that is more important than for a person to bother themselves and answer every one who demands an answer on the news section don't you?.

"ugly, short haired, aggressive men-hating women dressed in bomber jackets and dm boots, screaming abuse ..."

Hmm, sounds like a KD Lang concert I went to once. I just joined in.
For the avoidance of doubt, this thread, AOG.

I don't think Feminism itself is ugly, I think it can be used for ugly purposes and to create non-existant drama, as it has been used here. It's not true feminism, a King is as good as a Queen; a Queen is as good as a King, any one ought to be able to work that out.
Real feminism addresses pertinent social issues for women and recitifies things so that both sexes are equal ( not unequal in the opposite direction). The author of this piece of poor journalism is just that, a poor journalist writing for a poor paper which has excrucatingly low standards for it's articles. Soooo broadly ( terminology of the initial question excepted) I agree with you AOG ( but only about this particular journalist;-).
I believe jth is drawing your attention to this thread:

Where you posted a link to a far right neo-Nazi site and got promptly reprimanded by Ab Editor, no less. Since then you've not appeared in the thread. I know you aren't obliged to, but it would be good to clear up the question of whether or not it was an honest mistake to link to this site, or if instead you agree, by-and-large, with its sentiments.
I've never met the head of feminism. Is it a paid post?

Thank you naomi, I only wish you had put that in the first place, so I apologise to you if my reply seemed rather curt.
Amanda Platell's head is far from ugly.
only 20p per day and a selection of freshly picked buts
*nuts*

but buts will do
AOG - "If you or friend Jack would care to point out the said post I might, (only might) reply.

You know I don't like demands putting on me."

Assuming you are subscribed to your own thread, my post in it - 'Has She Any Cause To Complain?' - will have flagged to you my request (I don't do 'demands' of anyone, ever) that you address the response to your link to a revolting right-wing website, which offended a number of AB'ers and attracted a rebuke from the Ed, which is rare in the extreme.

I merely invited the courtesy of an apology - nothing more.

No 'demands' - so you 'may or may not reply' - as in you may or may not show adult attitudes to your fellow AB'ers.

fluff, don't waggle your but in my face, please

If a man had put such sexist remarks against women, as that woman had against men, then I would have agreed that he was indeed a chauvinist.

But what do we get from you, the usual abusive post I have come to expect, you do your sex no favours.
