Would this type of thing be beneficial to children as young as five, or only create confusion?

I know really AP -- one website I typed on I had reason to use the word "mishit" which was turned into "mi*doodoo*". Yes, really!
People make such a huge issue about sex when it comes to explaining things to kids, they project their own hangups onto the situation - THAT'S when issues occur: when the kid picks up on the hangups.
I blame roman catholicism.
andres, There are a lot of indigenous British people who don’t believe in same sex marriage. What’s the difference?
It's incredibly irritating, like when people say "sugar" instead of sh!t.
Agreed AP.
I'm at a loss here, can someone explain to me 'same sex parents'. Biologically it's impossible..............
two people of the same sex who act as parents towards a child, rather like a mother and step father or father and step mother but this time both of the same sex.
I know quite a few parents who just have the same sex all the time.
Craft, are you being deliberately obtuse or have you really never heard of two adults of the same sex raising a child?
Parenting Definition

the raising of a child by its parents. 2. : the act or process of becoming a parent. 3. : the taking care of someone in the manner of a parent.
I have indeed heard of, and know some same sex couples raising a child. But let's face it without intervention from a person of the other sex, they couldn't have a child, ergo a same sex couple aren't the only parents.
Naomi24---I was referring to the original post by AOG.
Merely trying to put a constructive answer to his question.

Is the biological aspect of parenting the crux of this debate?
You tell me AP, much is made of how wonderful same sex parents are, but they aren't the only parents are they?
Well no they aren't but my father is not the only parent of my mother's oldest son either, but if you ask my brother who his father is he'll say my father. Parenting isn't about genetics it's about behaviour.
What you mean sharingan is that parenting isn't JUST about genetics.
I think we all know that two people of the same sex cannot have a biological child. Was that ever in dispute? I thought this was about who parent's them, as in who acts as their parents?
*loses the apostrophe in 'parents* sorry
"...but they aren't the only parents are they?"
So is THAT the crux of this debate from your POV then?
Do you think this is about the *promotion* of same sex parenting?
I haven't particularly thought about the promotion of same sex parenting, I just know it's impossible.
