The Times today, Thursday, carries a front page story that Lord Ahmed, convicted and jailed for dangerous driving, claims that his sentence was the result of a Jewish conspiracy of Jewish newspaper owners, that the judge was hand picked and sent from London because no other judge would take his case, and that the Judge was himself a sympathiser with Jews. Lord Ahmed was speaking in Pakistan.

Questions: How long do you think it will be before the Daily Mail picks up this story and who do you think will be first to post about it on AB when it does?

He was jailed at Sheffield Crown Court. He killed a man who was walking near a car by the side of the road and he had been texting a couple of minutes beforehand. He was not charged with causing death by dangerous driving because the CPS decided that they couldn't prove he was texting at the time of the collision.
seems odd that no one else seems to have the story, also that Lord Ahmed has blamed a conspiracy... Perhaps the DM will pick it up some time later?
ouch!
I suspect Fred may be feeling a little crestfallen now em10 ;=)

i just meant that the story of his arrest and jail was some years ago, the actual story is that he has said it's a Jewish conspiracy, never mind the fact the man killed someone texting whilst driving. He seems rather a controversial figure. I can't see the story anywhere else either, no BBC, sky, so perhaps the DM will pick up on it later...
sorry thats a bit back to front but you get the gist..
Ah yes, my mistake (well it is early).
so it is.. x
The Daily Mail journos must be slow readers as the paper has yet to liberate the story from the Times. Or they won't pay to get beyond Rupert's PayWall.

Here is the Jerusalem Post's version of events

he seems rather economical with the truth, and how did he only serve 16 days in jail....
Lord ?! another token peerage to keep the ethnics and guardianistas happy
perhaps though i find it quite disturbing that the law sentences, quite rightly by the way, Chris Huhne to eight months in jail, yet Lord Ahmed served 16 days. He killed someone whilst driving at 70 miles an hour, that is perverse.
and to blame a coterie of Jews for his crime, seems more so.
// i find it quite disturbing that the law sentences, quite rightly by the way, Chris Huhne to eight months in jail, yet Lord Ahmed served 16 days //

So do I. The 'jewish conspiracy' wasn't really up to much if they only managed to get him a few days in jail for killing someone.
Couldn't they have conspired up a bitter ex-wife who was prepared to say that he was actually texting at the time of the collision?

Note that the Court of Appeal substituted a suspended sentence for the immediate one because they accepted Ahmed's counsel's argument that sending Ahmed to jail would hinder Ahmed's building bridges between Muslims and others.

Some bridge building !
//who do you think will be first to post about it on AB when it does//

Rather looks like you have beaten AOG to it!

Absolute rubbish. One ethnic group bashing another, what a surprise.

The man should have been jailed for months, I mean what bridges? Doesn't the stupid judge realize that by letting him off it actually wrecks bridges rather than builds them?

Just more right-on Judging I suppose.
