Don't speak too soon Mick, I can see an appeal on the horizon.

/// mother of three who was addicted to heroin and crack
cocaine, ///

Need I say more?
What do you mean, AOG?
really, so you think women get an easier time

AOG so male crackheads don't get appeals heard, or community service instead of jail, what on earth is wrong with you lot sometimes.

Calm down em, my reply was in no way an attempt at making a comparison between male and females.

I was merely replying to the OP's thread, stating that his exuberance over the sentence may be a little short lived.

I would have gave the same reply had the criminal been male, but of course leaving out the addition bonus for a reprieve, that being the fact that she had children, which is often a good trading weapon in such cases.
mick i have to agree and disagree, my agreement is that women get lighter sentences than men.
some seem to think that women get lighter sentences because of their gender, i find that strange, and while we are about it men commit the majority of crime.
