Don't hold your breath, it's an MP involved. It's OK ditching TV celebs, especially BBC ones, but a member of the government - oh no, that's a different kettle of fish.
Let's hope so.
I wish they would get a move on.
One name that is being mentioned (no I won't) has apparently tweeted about it.
Are there many Tory cabinet ministers who haven't been named in a sexual misadventure. Some come to mind are Major, Currie, Portillo, Haque and others.

very difficult to see how it's going to go away now and I too hope rapid steps are taken to start dealing with it.

Thanks elipsis, Tom Watson's piece captures it well.

this is way beyond party politics, in my view
A colleague of mine with links to Bryn Estyn has named with 100% confidence the two people referred to in several places on the web, even though one in particular seems to be almost unbelievable.
And also named two real heavyweights of different parties (both now dead) as being serial abusers.
I suppose you can take your pick from one of these

If some of you lot think its only Tories involved in these paedo rings etc youre living in denial.

do a little search on Tony Blair (for starters) and some D-notices he got on the media during his shift re paedos
The latest revelation is about a Tory minister in the Thatcher era. He is still alive.
As usual they'll skate round it for a bit, then kick it under the carpet...

What The Funicular
I couldn't care less what political party they belong to........just bring them to justice.
Somehow, Jem, I doubt this one will be kicked under the carpet.

Why on earth would anyone want to 'politicise' a thread about such a shameful state of affairs?
I thought it was ted heath is it not?
Not sure if this is specifically about the "Grocer", but it was always touted that Saville was his procurer of boys ........off to cowes !
Question Author
The thread wasn't intended to name names either, to me it's about at best institutional failure and at worst ditto collusion in terrible abuse of power
The politicians who visited Bryn Estyn were not actual Tory ministers. Both are still alive tho'.
The word is that one of the abusers was a senior policeman, hence possibly the reason the original enquiry was not of the most thorough.
