reasons to extricate ourselves from this ludicrous EUCHR.

It is abused by people and lawyers nearly all the time and makes a mockery of our own legal system

The MP quoted so prominantly in the article is rather playing to the gallery with his

"It’s shameful that child killers and rapists can abuse human rights laws to escape deportation."

The actual written answer does not specify the crimes and moreover says:

Only in exceptional circumstances will family life, the best interests of a child or private life outweigh criminality and the public interest in seeing foreign national offenders deported where they have received a custodial sentence of at least four years.

So there is a certain amount of common sense being applied - remember we are not considering the rights of the criminal here as much as that of their children

Where the crimes are moderately mild < 4 years sentence then that is being considered favorably

But it's not a reason to keep serious offenders a fact not being highlighted by the Telegraph who are clearly more interested in provoking the ire of the right than presenting a balanced evaluation of the situation
I don't see what the problem is with families. Many were illegals and their extended family followed them.

If they are deported you would think they could do the same again.
We should extract ourselves from anything Europe. EUCHR & EU. Nothing good comes of it.
