Well, they reckon they pay for everything else in Scotland - so why not for the education of some Ruperts' kids as well?

Defence is not devolved so it comes out of UK taxation. So yes, the English are partly paying for this, as are Scots paying to send children to Englush Boarding Schools.

Whew...thank goodness for that. I was afraid my relatives up there would have to unlock their sporrans?
so no Scottish officers then?
perhaps we should just saw Scotland and England not exactly in half, but say around about Berwick on tweed, and those Scots who want independence get it, and England also gets Independence. Then we won't have to listen to that bloated toad Alex Salmond, and you won't have to listen to Tory boy Call me Dave. x
What about people who would like to see the back of both of them?

Personally I'm totally against independence for Scotland. "United we stand.." etc
I'm against it because of the aforementioned Mr Salmond.
dump them off the coast of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, anywhere you choose.
I am against it, because i would like to see that toad Salmond get his comeuppance. United is better, it's been that way since 1707 i believe, many Scots may not like it, but at the end of a long day we are better off in all senses with each other.

not sure how many Scots live down south, i suspect it's a lot, so where would their allegiance lie.
