i have had 2 pairs - 6 weeks apart - from clarks!

my grandson just grew!
ummm, what about, you are just picking at straws and you know it.
I never said I can't afford to feed and clothe my son, I just said it was expensive.
Having been through the menopause and my other half having had a vasectomy when our son was a month or so old we obviously have no intention of having more children.
Yes they do, Joe.

My oldest didn't...my youngest has.
You can't buy shoes that are too big for a child unless you want them to have damaged feet joeluke.
We have to buy 3 lots of footwear at once for our son. He needs school shoes, football boots (school insists) and trainers every time his feet go up a size.
once boys hit puberty they grow very quickly, I agree with ummm regarding the regularity of buying shoes and other clothes, they also do eat a lot of food, I can see exactly what she was getting at em, I dont think she was being personal.
my daughters school now insist that all parents buy the new summer and winter pe kit, from them direct, priced at £70 pounds.
Exactly Daffy!!
Daffy......who buys shoes for kids that 'just fit'?

Obviously people who buy new pairs every few months
cazz, really, well going back over the thread looks pretty personal, being told i don't have a clue, what a crock.
I wasn't being personal.

It's quite patronising though.
she was talking about the cost of teenage children which from my perspective are quite high and I am quite thrifty!
what on earth is patronising, you are getting personal, but it's not my way.
Em...how many kids do you have?

I have 3...I know how much it costs to keep them in basic school clothes. A bloody fortune. I know how much it costs to feed them! I know how much the extras cost...

You don't...sorry, but that's a fact!
Ummm unless you know me personally, which you don't, don't presume.

Here's one mum with 11 kids and another on the way, who can manage without state handouts, apart from tax credits and child benefit.
