If you are travelling in a car on the way to commit mass murder, make sure the damn car is insured.

Scary stuff.

I wouldn't dream of going anywhere near any Olympic events.
Nor I ummm- even though I have had a life long ambition to attend an Olympics.
definitely - Olympics or not
They are on about 'giving' spare seats to school children. Not to my children!
Brendan, Ummmm, just a thought, would you then stop your child who had worked for years to compete at the Olympics, from taking part?
// I wouldn't dream of going anywhere near any Olympic events. //

Neither would I ummmm. Ticket prices are a rip-off.
so the police nearly missed them? That is not encouraging
Lady...they'd be too old for me to have a say, if that was the case.

Lol @ jno...
No LB, if one of my children had shown a talent worthy of an olympic place they would have jumped at it - and I would not have stood in their way - one daughter travels to Stratford every day and works in the city -
All in past tense LB, as like ummm they are all grown and make their own minds up.
Mine are still young enough...just have no talent :-)

I am in no way codoning what the men allegedly did but what happened to folk getting a fair trial, anotheoldgit or is that just for soldiers?
You believe that do you?

What's more likely a one in a million stop of an uninsured car or an MI5 informer being protected by a "routine" stop.

You might buy that but I'll bet those stopped don't!

Have I in anyway accused anyone of anything?

Just advising anyone who might be on their way to commit mass murder, to make sure their car is insured, be them civilians or soldiers.

Why would they?

They would most likely give numerous excuses, if they thought they might get away with it.
It's a scary thought living in a country that has such slack border controls and find it difficult (or even impossible) to deport anybody suspected of terrorist activities.
if it was a set-up, jake, I'd have expected the evidence to be found a bit more quickly - same day at least.
Maybe you don't need insurance in 'paradise'

No doubt the Ab Editor will be keeping an eye on the racist bigots posting anti-Islamic sentiments hinting at the guilt of those involved...

I don't know about that, but he certainly keeps an eye on ABers who are abusive against other ABers, when they label them 'racist bigots'.

Incidentally we have confirmed in a previous post that being anti-islamic is not racist, since it is not a race but a religion.
