Judge there is no comparison to the way things are now and the way they used to be, if a massive improvement isn't good enough for you then how would you have handled it? Could YOU have brought peace to the north with your dogma and your rallying for the loyalists as if they were entirely blameless of the whole situation? I seriously doubt it. You will doubtless accuse me of being partisan ( which I am) as are you, we are simply on opposing sides. However, I have the good judgement I think to understand that something is better than nothing, your way more and more from both sides just get mown down in the dogma of men with their own agendas treating them as puppets, which is to neither side's advantage.
We can all sling mud regarding who did what and used to be whatever, with Bloody Sunday and IRA bombings, knee cappings and the prediliction the security forces have for whacking inconvenient solicitors, but that got us nowhere for years. This has at least given us something on the road to a proper peace, and if you don't believe me then check out the positives which you conveniently omitted such as cross culture marriage rates increasing and the general populace finding single religion schooling less and less important. There is an enormous improvement, enough for me who was born just off the Falls Road, to say yes we have a peace even if it's not perfect yet. I really can't understand what you would have done differently to achieve what's so far been achieved, but you are of course welcome to tell me.
