well that is a bit of good news for once.
I don't mind contributing to the cost of his plane ticket..............after all I've been contributing to his upkeep for long enough.
Result !!!
sounds like we'll be still stuck with him for quite a while though?

he firebrand will remain in the country for up to a year because he will now resume a separate legal challenge against assurances that he will face a fair trial

It will be a case of good riddance to bad rubbish!
for a man that doesnt want to go to a court abroad he spends a lot of time and other peoples money in courts over here.
Can't understand how it got to this, I would have though MI 5 would have made him disappear years ago.

tony, I'm sure a large proportion of the British public would have helped them
They couldn't find a big enough bag to zip him in.................
I think there would have been a queue mrs o.
So was I right?

Is he now going to launch another court case? This time to ensure he wont be killed on his return to him homeland?

He's a wily little bugger isn't he? He'll be here for ever more! Each time someone thinks they have him, the weasel has yet another cunning plan to stall for time.
Gets on my nerves, he's probably laughing his head off at us !!!
Can't say I blame him to be honest Chaps! He obviously knows our flawed legal system very well and using it to his advantage.
I can't understand why we don't do the same as France. They'll deport someone even if the EU commission says they can't, so then the EU fines France about £5000 pounds for disobeying the commision's ruling. End of problem, end of story.
Exactly, we need to get tougher - oh is that a flying pig I see ........
Still wondering about his lawyers. What kind of solicitor waits until a few hours before the deadline before submitting an appeal? (Answer: Probably most of them; they have the deadline day noted in their diaries, electronic or paper, and rush to do it when that appears !) They don't gain any chargeable time through delay in appealing, just high blood pressure.Doesn't reflect well on them though; it seems negligent in the care of the case; and their image is bad enough already.
-- answer removed --
the cost of the fine would be a lot cheaper than the lawyers fees.
so he will be here for a least another year, and after that what then... what a bloody farce.
