What a terrible thing to happen to one so young and seemingly in the peak of fitness.

I only hope that he survives from this dreadful suspected heart attack, and goes on to continue his career in football.

Best wishes Fabrice, get well soon.

Hope things go well with Fabrice Muamba..
Nice sentiments AOG. Shared. Best of luck Fabrice.
AOG...I agree.....a tragedy.

Almost certainly his career as a footballer is over I fear.
We can only hope, he has such high aspirations and has seen so much horror in his life so far.
Nice post AOG. I hope he makes a good recovery,a tragic thing to have happened.
Unfortunately it is by no means unknown for young men, apparently at the peak of fitness, suddenly to drop down dead during some physical activity. I have known personally of two such cases. At least this young man is still alive.
Agree AOG

He has served England well.
Very saddening...especially when you see how upset his team mates are in the link in the post.

Very sad indeed - even if he makes a full recovery, as Sqad has said, at such a young age, his career is effectively over.
Nice gesture aog,

I wish him well.
Yes, I add my sentiments to the ones expressed above, both to FM and you, AOG. One of your best contributions on AB.
Nice post AOG - I entirely echo your sentiments.

Latest on Fabrice: I know it is early days but he seems to be making a good recovery.

Apparently, one of the first things he said on regaining consciousness was, "did we lose the game", now there's dedication for you.
This has been a good thread AOG.

Apparently he asked why the game was abandoned.
I agree with sqad. I cannot see that he will recover enough to play football again. It is so sad with someone so young.
perhaps youth coaching or something?
it appears he is making some progress.
Even though he used to play for the scum ( Birmingham City ) i wish him well, and hope for a speedy recovery.
It depends on what his heart problem was on what kind of recovery and what he will be able to do afterwards.
Yes rowan, something like that should suit. If he can find someone who needs a coach. Hopefully he may have saved some of the enormous salary he will have received as a top footballer.
