New scam mentioned on Radio 4 just now

PC screens freezing and then going blank...and then a message from the Met and Strathcylde police saying that you have been viewing terrorist/porno/etc sites and that you have to pay a fine of £100......the page has the logos of both police forces and also show your IP address and provider. The PayPal sites are valid.

On the continent it has even gone to showing child porn photos and trying to embarrass folk into paying.

It is "ransom-ware"

Solution - do not pay it is going mainly to Eastern Europe - keep your pc updated on the virus packages or its off for a repair to remove the virus, and report it to the boys in blue.
