// A man has been charged with a driving offence after a 4x4 vehicle was found close to the summit of Snowdon.

The charges relate to driving a vehicle on common land, moorland or land which is not part of a road. //

There are four options to get it back down.

1. It could be winched off by helicopter
2. Broken up and brought down in pieces
3. Ramped onto a flat bed truck and brought down on the railway
4. Driven down

I'm favouring option 2.

If it was driven up it can be driven down.

Roll it down the mountain.

He must be bloody man...
Just to clarify, I didn't mean roll it down on its wheels.
I blame the Tories, wouldn't have happened under a Labour government.
Why would you chop it up? Just because it is a 4x4?
But when Jeremy Clarkson did something similar a few years ago he didn't get prosecuted. One law for us and another for self-promoting TV stars?

Yes, and can you remember when the three of them joined together two cars each, and then raced each other through the streets of London to a particular venue?

One finished up separated from the back half, but continued it's journey on just the front wheels.

Would anyone else be allowed to do this?
A decision has already been made:

"The Snowdonia National Park will co-operate fully with the Snowdon Mountain Railway Company to ensure the vehicle is removed from the mountain

Are they bringing it down a piece at a time in hand luggage?
I rather expect Jeremy Clarkson had permission.

Mind you he did then fly back to London with the keys in his pocket as I recall

Disappointing this, doesn't help the image of 4x4 drivers
When they built the new restaurant at the top of Snowdon I assume they didn't use mule ponies. A sensible person would have said they took the materials up by train on a special wagon.

Not exactly a hanging offence is it, who cares how they get it down- although I assume drive it down would be by far the cheapest and simplest.
I am with option 4. It would be a lot cheaper to drive it down as there is "just" the cost of the fuel, whereas a helicopter would be much more expensive and waste taxpayer's money.

I do not favour breaking it up as that would be a waste of a perfectly good car. I hate to see things being wasted and there is no need for that. I think that it should be driven down the hill.
