Has this anything to do with the soaring population growth, now approaching 63 million and on course to reach 70 million, due to almost unlimited immigration and higher birth rate mostly from the new settlers?

No more effin building sorry, its the South of England that is getting the battering. they have built on so much of the area around where my family live, all the villages and towns are almost joined. They are just concreting over England, when will it stop.
I believe the sky will be falling in soon, too..........

Where the immigrants settle will be the prime areas for building expansion. I suppose this will be round the major towns and cities in the UK. London for example expanded a few years back to now include Greater London. You have to drive for an hour now to get out from the centre to green pastures. With the new relaxation of green belt laws London will expand beyond the M25 and link with towns such as Guildford or Harlow. Other major cities will have the same problem. Where will it all end?
We live in the Capital, and the place is packed to the gunnels
I've already explained, rov.........the sky will fall in on us all......we're doomed, doomed..........etc.

if they do start building lots of new houses i hope they think of the water supply ie building some new reservoirs
Our area is already over populated, and more properties going up,
but they are not for the poor, or needy, but the well off, one local home is going for two and a half million, another i saw close on four million for a 3 bed house. Bollocxs
......and higher birth rate mostly from the new settlers?

hmmmmm.
em the way your property prices are people will have to win the lotto jackpot twice :)
Steady, rov.......

Just because I don't subscribe to your particular brand of alarmist nonsense, it's no excuse to insult me.

Hey Ed.....dont block all my £ signs....I typed 3 lines of them - ok I'll donate 10% to your fav charity if you put them back in
Britain say in relation to Germany and France land mass is small and with limited space, so where do we put more people, whever they come from.

Britain cannot cope with what we have now, let alone a possible 70 million by 2020 Germany current population 82 million, france 66 million. They already build on green belt land, and as i said where does it stop.

They're currently considering plans to build over 3,000 new homes on green belt just outside York..........god knows how the local village is going to cope.
