I think this must be your taxes at work. It would be too funny if they gave a million a year back to America of the money that lobbyists were paid to go ask for... that asked for money to pay lobbyists... or something.

I can see the circularity of this... but they need Americans to put their case in Washington. And if they didn't help Bin Laden (questionable though this may be) then they have a case to put.

Pakistan was in the proverbial between a rock and a hard place. $20 billion in US aid is not something you turn your back on but refusing Al Qaeda is not an easy task either.
