Why is it a laughing stock? Many countries allow prisoners to be paroled or released early, there are mechanics in place for this.

He has been eligible for parole for 10 years now and has been blocked from being paroled, despite the parole board saying that he should be, by one man (well a succesion of men). Now that is unfair imo.

Anyone can fool a parole board if it's got the sufficient amount of liberal wets in it.

Strange he's managed to find remorse for his potential victims, not least his former fiancee and daughter. If he's returned to his homeland he'll doubtless be welcomed back with open arms, especially in light of the airline and particular clientele he tragetted.

Perhaps I'm too draconian but to me, anyone who contemplates a crime of that magnitude ought to be left to rot, nothing more.
Why don't we just turn it over to the European Court, we all know how good they are at reversing our High Courts decisions?
The big problem is the 'Sentence' and the 'minimum Sentence' The sentence was 45 years so it does not seem proportional that he is out after 25.
No doubt some 'small print' will enable him to stay in the UK.
Who pays for his appeals,etc? Surely not the Taxpayer.
