Just what IS a "staffer of congress" pray?
I have never heard this term in the UK.
I think Invictas that a "staffer of Congress" is a poncy term for someone who....works in Congress.
Thanks nonomaybe,
However,I don't think I am any further forward as to why berryor should ask this,as this a UK site, perhaps they don't realise that?
I googled the question and Invictas, in case it crops up at a pub quiz near you (as berryor may have lost the thread!), the answer is yes but like all things political it is not an across the board benefit, it is generally offered in exchange for a commitment to work in the office giving the perk. I don't think it is the same as the loan forgiveness programme which rebates the student loan in exchange for working in unpopular places throughout the USA. I don't think a teacher in Beverly Hills would qualify whereas one proposing to work in Watts would probably. Hopefully Clanad will pick up this thread and give us the definitive answer!!!!
Invictas-I don't think there is anything in the AB rules that says "only open to residents of the UK,and questions relevant to the UK"
Also-in spite of having asked a Q relating to United States politics-there is no reason to assume that berryor is a US resident.....lol
