Haven't heard so many funny stories but I know that Frank Zappa has a song on his Apostrophe album called "Don't eat the yellow snow". The words of the chorus are:

"Watch out where the huskies go
an' don't you eat that yellow snow."

Not huskies but our dogs when we where kids got sniffing in some wet cement and burnt all the hairs of these noses, they had bold noses for life!!
