We're getting snow in the Toronto area. The first significant dumping of the year, which is unusual. About 5" so far, and "they" say it's going to continue for another 6 hours. Guess what? Mrs stuey wants to go grocery shopping...I guess I'll have to feed the huskies and wax the runners on the sled.

Wear something brightly coloured so that the rescue helicopter can find you.
Question Author
I'll wear my bright white anorak:)
Erm, yeah, great idea, stuey. Nice to have met you. I'll always remember you.
Are there wolves and bears nearby? I wouldn't like you to get eaten on your way across the field for Wobblypops.

When winter sets in, our friends, living in Northern Ontario, go shopping on ski-doos. Do you ski-doo?
Question Author
I think I'll get some wobbly-pops from the beer store and forget the field today. No wild animals around to gobble me up. I've only been on a snow-mobile once when I had to climb out the car door window to get rescued in a major storm once about 20 years ago.
Our friends are miles from the wobbly-pops store. Fortunately they stock up beforehand so the shopping's not too bulky. ;o)
Ski-doo? Cushies can ski? Well I'll be. :-P

Good planning on their part. I don't think I'd have the agility to snake out the car door window nowadays!
Necessity is the mother of invention. They're not daft! :o)

As shown, one bite and the beastie walks out.....
Question Author
I have noticed a couple of snow leopards lurking in the field; however, I regularly feed them Friskies, and they let me pass by them without mishap.
At last Stuey..........I had almost given up hope !
Mikey and his wee Willy will be there tomorrow Stuey. Lots of wobblypops and Willy will see off the Snow Leopards.

Question Author
I have equipped my pet snow leopards with Ghillie suits, so if wee Willy goes into the field he's in for a big surprise. Anyway, mission accomplished: groceries and, more importantly, wobbly-pops are topped up.
