Pity its cloudy, shuttle is docked to it at the moment.
Fairly clear here, I am looking....
Textbook sighting ... it's like a Planetarium out there tonight. :-))
I SAW IT!
Its as clear as a bell here in Norfolk this evening. Just as you said, it appeared in the west and went over head to the east. Took about 2 minutes.
What is it and why are we seeing it?
To cloudy here ;0(
saw it with rent-a-crowd who think I'm very tekkie; street cred, at last :)
Maidup, it's this ... http://en.wikipedia.o...ational_Space_Station

It currently (as of last night) has the space shuttle Discover joined to it.
Thanks Naz, I'm so in to this now! Gonna look tomorrow when its due to go over again from the west at 7.30pm. Will get the binnoculars out this time.

I find it so amazing to think that anything can dock with something in the middle of space like that. IF you could would you go on it?
superb sighting. very clear sky overhead, and watched it sail by in all its glory!

yep, i'd love to be aboard the shuttle to see whats going on down here, and enjoy the view. one more tomorrow at 7.30. will be watching. thanks wendilla xx
Tiddle, I missed it, it's a good clear night tonight too. When's the next one, wendilla?
If I could go, definitely ... there must be something very surreal about looking back at the Earth from space.
^ oops, I see, 730pm. Is there a morning sighting at the moment, though?
