I lived in Jamaica for years but have no recollection of an airport called Mirabelle. The ones known to me are :-

Norman Manley

Tinson Pen

Gerrard Smith

Owen Roberts

Sangster

Boscobel, and

Ken Jones.

If you would care to provide some more information it would be of interest.

Mirabelle International Airport is in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, whereas the primary airport in Kingston is Norman Manley International....

At any rate, in Latin it's 'wonderful' and in Spanish, it's 'wonderful to look upon'...

My mistake.  It was a stand-up stage act by Lenny Henry.  He joked that other airports had 'cool' names like JFK, but that this one he visited had the 'naff' name of 'Mirabelle'.  I mis-remembered it as being in Jamaica (he had been talking about Jamaica earlier).  It must have been Canada.

well I hope lenny gave an airing to:

My wife's gone on Holiday, you know to one of those naff-named airports,

Jamaica?

No, she went by herself !
