Impossible question, I know, but someone out there knows!

I used to have a record that started with these words, followed by the applause of the audience.

I'm 57 so it could be 10/20/30 years old.

Are you absolutely certain it's not "I'm Not In Love" by 10cc from their live album "Live and Let Live"...?
Pretty sure it's i'm ready by Bryan Adams
I'd like to see ya - thought I'd let ya know
I wanna be with ya everyday
Cause I got a feelin' that's beginning to grow
And there's only one thing I wanna say

I'm Ready - To Love Ya
I'm Ready - To Hold Ya
I'm Ready - To Love Ya
I'm Ready - To Hold Ya
Ready as - I'm gonna be

She left me a long note when she left me here
Told me that love was hard to find
But baby it's easy and I'll make it clear
There's only one thing on my mind
I'm Ready
It's from Bryan Adams MTV Unplugged album :)
One of my faves :)

Thanks folks - definitely Bryan Adams "I'm ready".

You've saved me a whole load of searching through the Guinness Book of Hit Singles!
Which would have been a fruitless exercise, since the song was never a hit in the UK...
No probs Twiggy, glad to help :)
