Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me. I live in Australia but hold a NZ passport, two years ago I was convicted for possession of a pipe in New Zealand, I was given a $240 fine and sent on my way. I am looking to travel to the US in June next year but am trying to figure out if I was checked if US would check Australia criminal record or New Zealand? Can anyone help me out here?

They have the capability to do both if they wish.

Whether they routinely do so in reality is doubtful.

US law says you must get a visa.
Wow!!

You should see the number of pipes I have in my house; mains water, gas, central heating, drainage etc.

I hope they don’t make possession of pipes, an offence in the UK.
can u be more specific about "the pipe", is it one used to smoke drugs or a household one, theres a big difference especially about you getting in to the States.
I would guess that as they had a conviction for having a pipe the conviction was actually for being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
