haveing a bad case i have no remedies in the house have tried a glass of milk local shops are now shut any tips??

A glass of water with a tablespoon of baking powder in it....or is it baking soda: I get the two mixed up.

wont that make the acid worse??
bicarbonate soda with a lttle water.

or ginger ale

i will try it just seems weird that something so gasey would be good for a complaint with acid in it???
I don't understand the chemistry behind it, zzxxee. but somehow the solution neutralizes the excess acid. Anway it usually works for me.....give it a try.
a piece of cheese is supposed to soak up the acid

Do you have any mint chewing gum or mints? That should help a little bit.

Hope you get some relief.
Apparently eating apples or cucumber will sometimes help. Anything that can make you burp will also help.
