what annoyed me is when she had her first hit and then started slagging other established recording artists off. Someone suggested, or she suggested, that she should take Danni Minogue's place on X Factor. I'm no Minogue fan but puleeze...

Lily Allen is a perfect pop star for the new millenium.

She has grasped the simple concept that fame is not about talent - which she does possess - 'Fear' and 'Not Fair' are fabulous pop songs - it's about creating a stir, being 'out there', and getting on people's nerves and iPods in equal measure.

I actually think she is a very talented singer songwriter and doesn't get enough credit for having an excellent voice.

although i admire the fact that she speaks her mind which in this day and age is very refreshing i find her songwriting quite limited. she appears to be a talented lyricist when she sets her mind to it but in too many of her songs she can be quite lazy and just draaaaaaags woooooords ooooout to fill the line.
