Whatever happened to the idea of putting a timer on advert breaks in the UK? So people could see when the adverts finish. I read about this idea being in production, has it been abandoned?

Surely then nobody'd watch the adverts, and tv advertising would become ineffective?

I did see one use of it, when I watched The Graham Norton Effect on BBC3, because they had to have an advert break, they filled it with spoof ones from the excellent Monkey Dust and had a timer, BBC3 also have a timer on their 60 seconds news programmes.

i havnt seen any timers on my screens yet what channel/ service is it?
