Have you tried antique collector organisations? There are a few around who have a wide interest in collectibles. It really depends on what you have, the condition of the vinyls and, the condition of the covers especially if they are LPs.
Have a look on ebay, you will find sellers who are dealers in vinyl - then look for some of the stuff of yours that might be valuable. Alternatively, just enter one of your gems directly into google and see what you find. Again, chances are you'll come up with dealers' sites. And finally, get someone who will be buying you a Christmas present this year to get you a large fat book called the "Rare Record Price Guide" - 26.95 from Amazon. I found it fascinating, going through my old vinyl, but it was nice not to have spent that amount of money myself.

Have a look for a record collector book from 2008. It has individual valuations of records worth any money. Also tells you what they are worth in every condition.
