I see the Verve are back. They are, in my opinion, awful. I know I'm in the minority though.

Got me thinking - there are a lot of critically acclaimed acts that i wouldn't go into my back garden to see. Including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hot Chip, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Beach Boys (sorry Wardy), Paul Simon and Elton John.

Who do you consider oiverrated and unworthy of your ears?

So, so many...

Coldplay
Radiohead
Bruce Springsteen
David Bowie
Kate Bush
Beatles (some good stuff, but definitely overrated)
Phil Collins. Sorry - I don't even like listening to old Genesis music. Might've been better without Phil, whose voice's too weak.

Another 2 for the list, Sting and David Bowie

Sting is about as appealing as a trip to the dentist as is Bowie..apart from Life On Mars

Arctic Monkeys.

Honestly never saw the attraction with them.

Oh, and the Kooks, although they are good live.
Bring back the sounds of Little Richard, Fats Domino, Eddie Cochran etc.

Good call on Kylie, you can tell when she has a new record out, she has her arse out in the papers and mags

Someone had the balls to write that her cancer was the best career boost in pop history

Sad but true

Bob Dylan is a bit overrated.
Saw Little Richard, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry at the Sheffield Arena. It was a brilliant show. Chuck was fantastic and Fats appeared even though he was recovering from Pneumonia. What a trooper.
I've met Paul Weller as well, and he was up himself.
If some genius out there could define taste, they'd be a millionaire. Music is like art. What pleases some abhors others.

But for the record i will give anything except manufactured pop a chance.
I hate it when somebody takes a great record, removes the singing, then talks over the top of it. I think it's called Rap.
This is what I hate about Bono, he thinks he can save the fooking world!

Pavarotti is thinking to himself ..."WTF am I doing on stage with this pr!ck" lol
