The first answer to the previous question has reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask for ages...................can anybody remember a bigger travesty of justice at the Brits a few years ago when the Spice Girls won the lifetime achievement award, when only a couple of weeks previously Ian Dury died - I was convinced they would honour him posthumously. Obviously it's very subjective, but personally I feel the Spice Girls didn't have enough talent to clean Ian Dury's boots.

Yes, but the Spice Girls made the BPI more money and thus are more worthy of celebration than someone who merely overcame huge personal hurdles to produce a body of lovingly crafted music that came from the brain and the heart, and continued to do so as his very life ebbed away. Surely that's obvious..?
