This song sounds like the beginning bit of 'it's my life' by 'talk talk' with the words 'if you want it, you can have it and if you need it, come and get it'..... What's the song and who sings it please?

I'm fairly sure the song you are referring to is called "Come & Get It" by a group called Badfinger from the late 60s or early 70s. Chorus is "If you want it, here it is come and get it Mmmm, make your mind up fast If you want it, anytime I can give it But you better hurry cause it may not last" Will try to find more info if you need it.

Thanks BenDToy but this definitely isnt the one. The one I heard is only a couple of years old and is in a melancholic man's voice. At some point he goes "whatever it is..... you can have it". Driving me insane!

I think it might be 'Love What You Do' by The Divine Comedy.

I initiaolly thought it was 'If You Want It' until I read the lyric you quoted more closely. i think you'll find it's 'If You Want It' by Code Red, but I don't know the song myself - hope this helps.
