In the mid to late 1980s (I think), there was a cover version of the theme from the film "Shaft". It didn't have vocals, but it did have sound effects of cars and engines revving etc. Anyone know the band who recorded it?

It was the theme from shaft by Eddy and the soul band.

it could be the theme from starsky & hutch by the james taylor quartet. it has sirens and car sounds at the start. very like the shaft theme as well.
