Now prostitutes should be cleared off the streets (most people would agree with this) but no mention of HOW to do this. His church shows some love towards women who have fallen into prostitution and he gets the hump. I havnt seen one post on here from Mani that shows that he is capable of basic human compassion.
The estate where I live has had its share of problems with prostitutes but until the underlying causes of it are dealt with (drug addiction, violent pimps, poverty) then it aint going to go away. Some of these girls risk their lives every day just to survive.
Is it really to much to ask, to see some of these women as real human beings as opossed to the wrecks that many have become. A hot meal and a drink seem to much for Mani to cope with.

The short answer to your question, Wiz, is no, I don't think Mani does have compassion for anyone. Mani's world is black and white - there are no grey areas - and he doesn't take human frailty or human weakness into account. He's a sad man really - as Luna says, trapped in the prison of his religion. It's difficult for those of us who do think fairly rationally to understand his twisted logic, but I hope for his own sake he will be able to sort his mind out at this spiritual retreat he's going to - and that in itself is worrying!! Let's just hope the people there aren't as screwed up as those he's listened to in the past.

Mani, you insult me by suggesting that Im similar to you.
I resent even having to breath the same air as you.
By your own admision you were a bully as a school kid and by the tone of your posts you still are. You have a notion that I think you'r speaking the truth. Wrong sonshine, you speak absolute b*ll*cks.
If you think that I would want to take your offer of friendship then you are even more deluded than I thought you were. You are one sick individual who needs psychiatric help and you need to see people as humans, not automatons who blindly follow your ridiculous and inhuman doctrines.
And you urgently need help with your misogonyst tendencies. You fell in love with a girl so you pulled her hair and pushed her? Normal people DONT do these things, even as a kid I would try to impress girls that I had a crush on, not bully them.
You really do have a downer on women dont you?

Now I understand why you think women should stay in violent marrages. Kicking, punching, hair pulling etc is your way of showing love...

Mani, you've bleated on and argued with us about the righteousness of the Born Again church, and now you've changed your mind because they've shown compassion where you think there should be none.

You and Wizard have nothing whatsoever in common. He has the ability to be rational and he cares about people - and you don't.
Mani, What's this? A lesson in how to win friends and influence people? I can assure you that the boys who liked me at school didn't bully me - far from it!!

Wiz, I think Mani's sent me to Coventry since I said that he might find that his god's judgement of him will be as harsh as Mani hands out to others! Or maybe it's just that I'm a woman so my opinions don't count, eh? Well, if I'm sent to Coventry, I just hope this spiritual retreat he's going to is nowhere near Coventry!! :o)
I am not and never have been a bully, it's quite normal for school boys to hit the girls they have crushes on when they are rebelling against their feelings.

Sorry Mani, but that's called bullying, and the belief that it's normal behaviour is the belief of a sexist, mysogenistic bigot.

I dare you to go into any secondary school and confront the kids there with that one. The girls would lynch you, and not because they fancied you, either. The boys would be there cheering them on because, believe it or not, they would most likely agree with the girls.

Mani certainly has some strange ideas about women and love doesnt he?
what a knob.

he thinks by begging to be liked he is showing us his soft nice side...!

i'm sure wizard will rack his brains trying to make a decision on that one!

and if i'd known prostitutes got given free cuppasoups, i'd have become one ages ago, why did no-one mention this before?
Guys, since I entered this site I started to see certain people (who participate more often) and like them, or at least the opinions they show here...

I could give as an example naomi24 (who seems such a sensitive and sensible lady and I wish I could be friends with her), wizard69 (always has something wise to say about subjects) megan07 and mrknowall (always sweet and worrying about us when we post a problem), pastafreak, laurencelolo.... etc the list can go on.

So, after saying that, for you to understand I am not being nasty here, I just have a question: don't you think you are giving too much attention to this mani person? don't you think it might be exactly what he wants?

I don' t consider myself more intelligent than any of you here, just the opposite actually because I learn a lot reading some posts, but... the impression it gives is that he uses you as live bait, he posts something provocative and there you are, all trying to make him come to reason even though you know he WON'T. The guy is a loser and myself I don't have patience to discuss any subject with someone like that... but if you pay attention, there are like 4 posts here about him!!! Don't you think it's time to move on a little and forget the guy, he's had enough attention already and in my humble opinion you are are wasting your time by talking to and about him...
Of course Reina you are correct in your observation regarding the over-emphasis on the problem of Mani.
It sounds like a T.V. Programme: "How To Solve A Problem Like Mani?"
Well the truth of it is, we wont. I used to work with someone of a similar background and temperament and found the best thing to do was ignore them but prior to that, tell them why.
I would like to think that the interest in him has waned but one thing is for sure, when people are agitated or provoked, they will usually feel the need to retaliate and if that was Mani's goal then he has succeeded.

You're right Reina, we do know we won't change Mani, but I'm not sure he's baiting us as such - I think he's hoping to convert us! (Well at least he was up until the weekend when he left the Born Again Christians. Not quite sure who he's going to join now).

You and Luna are right again - there is an over-emphasis on Mani, but only because he causes such controversy and his opinions make for a lot of debate - and I expect people enjoy the argument.

Incidentally, thanks for the compliment, Reina!
Luna and Naomi!
Hope you had a great day, here I am again, the night owl insomniac one, went to sleep so early today, let's say around 23h (because it was passing CSI on TV) and suddenly woke up some minutes ago... gosh and I REALLY believed I was going to sleep early and during the whole night!!

Well, good to see you are really aware of this guy's behaviour, because what I was "afraid" of, was that you were REALLY playing his game without noticing it!

Naomi you're welcome, I was very sincere and I even mentioned you already when we were talking about who were the AB members we would like to meet, in the body & soul section of the website... :o)

Luna so you know that Luna means Moon in both Spanish and Italian? I love the moon, hence my nickname, we're now like "moon family" hahaha!!

See you both around!
The Moonies.....Tee hee
:0)
Hello Reina, I chose my username because of my interest in all things celestial and not as some may believe.....I'm a nut-case........or then again.
Thanks Reina - how kind of you.

Luna, in looking for a name for this cult of ours, we can't be the Moonies - that name's already taken!! 'Spose we could be the Loonies though. What do you think?
Mani leaving the born again christian movement coudl be a good thing. A very good friend of mine was one of them when we first met. He was on skid row, financially, 'working' for a bloke who ran some sort of musical ministry (my friend is a sound engineer) and who expected him to work for nothing because 'god will provide you with all you need'. Well, god certainly wasn't providing my friend with the means to pay his basic bills. He almost went bankrupt.

My friend has since seen sense. He's still a christian, but has realised that he doesn't need to preach or go to church in order to be one. He's just a very decent, honest and thoroughly nice bloke. Unfortunately, he can be a little weak-willed, which is how I think the born again movement got to him in the first place.
