Further to getoverits quezzie about coloured vinyl. Does anyone know what was the first coloured vinyl / picture disc released in the UK.

I believe it was The Cars single 'My Best friend's Girl', but as always, I am open to correction.
I can't say whether it was the first - but I remember I had it on order from Probe Records in Mathew Street - Liverpool. Every Saturday for about a month I went down there and asked was it in .................... readers, it never came!

Thanks all. I had a look at wiki but im still not sure. I have the cars single but I cant believe they had pic discs in 1970.
There was a link on Wiki somewhere that mentioned picture discs in the 30's

Curved Air had a sort of picture disc with their 1st Album- Air Conditioning.Think the sleeve was circular as well but can't remember year at the moment but at least early 70s
