is it the original line-up ? if not, then its not guns n roses in my eyes.
Just about everyone - except Axl Rose, and the record label who keep financing this ludicrous charade.

It's going to have to be pretty damned fabulous to stand a chance of recouping even half the recording costs.

As Mattk's point, i entirely agree. This is not Guns 'n' Roses, it's Axl Rose and which ever session players can stand to work with the cantankerous ego-obsessed wig-wearing botox-faced loon for long enough to get a track or two done.

If he calls in a G 'n' R album he should be sued under the Trades Description act. G 'n' R stands for a bunch of young street punks who were hungry, and damned good at what they did. And now? Well ... er ... hum ...

Velvet revolver it is then!

(velet revolver is more guns n roses than guns n roses!)
How long as Axl bein recording it?? Ten years?? Mad as a hatter........
Technically Velvet Revolver isn't more Guns 'n' Roses than Guns 'n' Roses, because out of the three GNR members in VR (Slash, Duff, and Matt), only two of them are classic lineup members (Slash & Duff, Matt replaced classic lineup drummer Steven Adler), and neither Slash nor Duff were in the founding lineup of GNR (which was made up of Axl, Izzy Stradlin, Tracii Guns, Rob Gardner, and Ole Beich), so technically GNR is still more GNR than VR is (in a sense).

And it's going to be released this year, because it has been finished, and Axl's manager (Beta Lebeis) has stated that they are discussing with the record label how they should release it in order to make as much money as possible.
In response to andy-hughes comment, Axl can't be sued, as he owns the full rights to the GNR name, and as only Axl & Izzy were original members in the classic lineup, without Izzy the others couldn't stop him anyway.
I only said he 'should be' - not wih any realistic hope of such justice being done - or a good record coming out either!

Well, there are more of the (more popular and famous) guns n roses members in Velvet Revolver than Guns n Roses! The original founding members of Guns n roses are rarely heard of, just like the founding members of Iron Maiden!
To andy-hughes: judging by all of the stuff that has been leaked out, the record is actually going to be fabulous, and Axl has replaced the classic lineup with equally talented musicians, and there's more of them, so it should be great.

To hubblebubble: yes, true, in most bands the original members are rarely heard of, but this isn't the case hear. Three out of the original five are really famous, Axl, Izzy (who were both in the classic GNR lineup), and Tracii Guns (who reformed his former band L.A Guns after leaving GNR. And Rob Gardner was big for a while, another member of L.A Guns. And the only reason Ole Beich isn't heard of at all is because he's been dead for seventeen years.
Something I should have said is that some of them are credited on that Hollywood Rose album, 'The Roots Of Guns N Roses', and that is quite popular.
