short and sweet, but exactly what i wanted to know. i love the free assoc album, but is his other stuff similar? i have a feeling it might be a bit radio 1 his other stuff, which i probly wouldnt be that keen on.

Not at all - David Holmes is nothing if not diverse. There is a sort of jazzy soundtrack feel to most of his stuff (hence the many soundtracks he has done) but he rarely sticks with one genre for long.
A very talented individual.
